Pastoral Care

At HAPS, Boarding staff play an important role in the pastoral, social and emotional well being of their students. The Boarding team is headed by the principal, who is supported by highly qualified Dean of student welfare & Deputy Dean of students welfare along with skilled resident tutors including Chief Wardens, Hostel parents, Assistant wardens and a range of support staff.

Every student is assigned to a Hostel parent on joining the school. The Hostel Parent acts as a parent as well as the tutor. He / She is responsible for student achievement in academics, sports or any other co-curricular activity. For almost anything, the tutor is the first point of contact for the student. It is compulsory for each hostel parent to interact with the students on regular basis. This helps in creating a strong bond between the Hostel parents & the students.
